Fortune recently released its 2023 50 Best Places to Live for Families, analyzing nearly 1,900 cities across the country. The Fortune survey concluded that Peachtree Corners in Gwinnett County “was one of the best places in the country for families to live.” The survey ranked Peachtree Corners “as its 19th-best city. In this Fortune survey, Peachtree Corners was the “only Georgia city to make the list.”
Several factors were assessed in the survey to arrive at its ranking of cities. Factors included “walkability, affordability, diversity, number of hospitals, graduation rates” in addition to other criteria. As reported, in the end, the survey’s organizers found Peachtree Corners’ “surprising blend of family-friendly appeal and novel tech innovation” as key variables for the city to secure its high ranking.
The Fortune survey elaborated on Peachtree Corners as follows: “This northern suburb of Atlanta provides a welcoming environment for both families and developing tech startups.” The area also “got a boost thanks to its public schools which ranked above average.” You can find the whole list here.
More praise for another Georgia city was expressed in a survey done by Niche, which revealed that Sandy Springs, Georgia, is one of the “Best Places to Live” in the United States. Sandy Springs attained a lofty ranking in Niche‘s survey as being the 18th best place to live – making it the only spot in the Peach State to make its list.
As reported, in its review, Niche gave Sandy Springs an A+, highlighting the city’s “urban suburban mix feel” and variety of outdoor activities, restaurants, and nightlife options and major plusses. Curiously, Sandy Springs “did not get the best marks in cost of living, crime and safety, and housing.” See photo of the iconic King and Queen towers in Sandy Spring (City of Sandy Spring).
