The CVS Health Foundation has announced a commitment of $4 million over five years to support healthy aging initiatives. The grants will be distributed among four organizations dedicated to promoting wellness and improving healthcare access for seniors.
Recipients include the Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement, which will use the grant to enhance its Community Resource Hub to help seniors connect to essential services. Community resource hubs link residents in neighborhoods like downtown Atlanta, the Old Fourth Ward, and Chamblee to health care and essential well-being resources.
These hubs are key in the Atlanta Area Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement’s (ARCHI) efforts to advance health equity.
This funding aims to enhance programs that focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and social support services for seniors.
The ARCHI will utilize the grant to expand its outreach and implement innovative solutions tailored to the needs of the aging community.
“People over the age of 65 are enjoying longer, more active lives and make up the largest generation of older adults in U.S. history,” said CVS Health senior vice president of corporate social responsibility and chief sustainability officer Sheryl Burke. “We’re excited to work with each of these organizations that are making a significant impact by preparing and providing the health care and resources our communities need for the generational shift of aging Americans.”
