Chick-fil-A Store Throws Sendoff Party For Georgia Special Olympics Athlete

Chick-fil-A has thrown a sendoff party for Joseph “Caleb” Guy, a Georgia athlete who is representing the United States in Kayaking at the 2023 Special Olympics World Games in Germany. 

Caleb works at the Chick-fil-A that threw his sendoff party on Tuesday, during which Caleb signed autographs and was celebrated by his fans. 

Chick-fil-A announced Caleb’s departure in a post on Facebook. 

“Meet Caleb, a 10 year all-around athlete competing in multiple sports. He has competed at the State level in basketball, soccer and kayaking where he has earned numerous medals. When ask what he likes best about Special Olympics he said ‘I get to play sports with my friends.’ When Caleb is not competing in sports you can find him working hard at Chick-fil-A Canton,” the post said.

According to a report from Fox 5 Atlanta, “Caleb has competed in athletics, basketball, kayaking, soccer and tennis. This year, he will represent Special Olympics USA in kayaking.”

“He is a student at Transition Academy where he receives vocational training, developing skills to transition into life after high school,” the report added. “During his high school career, he served as the school’s basketball and soccer team manager for four years. He was beloved by his classmates there who nominated him to the homecoming court.”
