Super Bowl LXII 2028 To Be In Atlanta

Atlanta previously hosted three Super Bowls. Atlanta has now been chosen by the NFL  to host another, the Super Bowl LXII in 2028. Atlanta hosted a Super Bowl in 2019, 1993 and 1999. The latter two games were played at the old Georgia Dome.
Atlanta Falcons Owner and Chairman Arthur M. Blank exclaimed: “This is a tremendous honor for the city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia to be selected as host for Super Bowl LXII”. The event will be played in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which “was built to host the world’s largest sporting events.” Blank proclaimed: “I know I speak for many when I say we are honored to bring it back to Atlanta in 2028 and build off the success of Super Bowl LIII in 2019.”
“The National Football League made the exciting announcement on Tuesday. The big game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.” Dan Corso, president, Atlanta Sports Council and Atlanta Super Bowl Bid Committee, extolled the virtues of Atlanta to justify its selection for the 2028 Super Bowl.
“As we made clear throughout the process, no city is better positioned than Atlanta to host events of this magnitude. Super Bowl LXII would not be possible without the incredible cooperation of leaders in the civic and business community who continue to come together to deliver for our city and state.”
Reporting raised the issue of the 2028 halftime show. Likely that information will not be available until just months before the event. Information for obtaining Super Bowl LXII tickets for 2028 and information regarding the locations of Super Bowls 2025, 2026 and 2027 can be found here.
