Kids, Bikes and a Beltline Block Party: BikeFest Rolls Back Into the West End May 2

The West End is about to get a little louder, a little livelier, and a whole lot happier on Saturday, May 2.

V-103’s Big Tigger is bringing “Big Tigger’s Beltline BikeFest” back for a fourth year, and as always, the radio man is bringing the neighborhood with him.

The free, family-friendly festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the Atlanta Beltline’s Southwest Trail, with Lee + White as the start and finish line.

The centerpiece is a three- to five-mile community bike ride, with Tigger himself out front and celebrity guests rolling alongside him.

But the ride is only the beginning.

Once the wheels stop spinning, the festival opens up into live music, DJ sets, food vendors, health screenings, kids’ activities, and bicycle safety lessons.

Here’s the part that matters most. Through his Big Tigger Foundation, the DJ will once again hand out hundreds of bikes and helmets to students from nearby schools and neighborhoods — for many of them, their first set of wheels.

“BikeFest is more than just a bike ride or giveaway. It’s a celebration of community, culture and connection,” Tigger said. “Each year, it’s incredibly heartwarming to see the joy on kids’ faces as they ride their bikes. I’m honored to pour into the next generation, especially right before summer break when they need safe, healthy ways to stay engaged.”

The event grew out of the pandemic, when Tigger rediscovered cycling and took the idea to Beltline organizers in 2021. It officially launched in 2023 and has since grown into what the Beltline calls a celebration of culture, wellness and youth empowerment.
Organizers are asking attendees to take MARTA, ride-share or bike in if they can — parking in the West End will be tight.

The bike ride is free, but registration is required.
