Atlanta’s Food & Wine Festival Begins!

Atlanta’s Food & Wine Festival begins Wednesday, September 20, and is bigger and better than ever. Launching on the 20th, this year’s Atlanta Food & Wine Festival will run through Sunday, September 24. As reported, “fans can expect five days of mouth-watering culinary experiences.”

Food tasting areas, referred to as “tasting tents,” are expected to transform the Historic Fourth Ward Park into what is tantalizing characterized as “an endless buffet of food, drinks, and live entertainment.” The Festival’s organizers claim “more than 50 different tasting stations will be featured each day.” The demand generated by the Tasting Tents has compelled the organizers to “add a Friday evening experience to the usual Saturday and Sunday offerings!”

As is common regarding these kinds of large multi-day events, admission prices vary. As reported, general admission to the Tasting Tents is “$125 per day or $300 for an all-weekend pass, and VIP admission (which includes early entry) is $165 per day or $400 for the weekend.” The Festival is intended to have an international reach. Organizers claim this year, a portion of the proceeds from the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival will be donated to Children of Conservation’s school lunch program, “which provides healthy meals for children in Africa.”

In addition to the cuisine offered in the Tasting Tents, the Festival will feature what is referred to as five days of “Gourmet Gatherings,” described as “intimate dining events hosted by top chefs and restaurants.” For more information on this year’s Festival, click here.
