As temperatures drop across Georgia, StepStone Family & Youth Services of Georgia is rolling out its annual “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive—a statewide effort aimed at giving foster youth something too many never get: one item that feels like it’s truly theirs.
StepStone will accept new and gently used blankets from February 2, 2026, through February 13, 2026, with drop-off locations across the state.
The pitch is simple—and powerful: community members, partners, and volunteers donate blankets that provide foster children warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging during the winter months.
“Oftentimes, foster youth move in and out of foster homes without an item that truly feels like their own or brings the comfort of home,” said LaShay Wilson, Executive Director at StepStone Family & Youth Services of Georgia. “This blanket drive is a powerful reminder that even a simple blanket can provide warmth, security, and a sense of belonging. By donating, you can make a lasting impact in the lives of the children we serve.”
Since launching in 2020, “Wrapped in Love” has grown into a cornerstone program for StepStone—focused on meeting both the emotional and practical needs of children and families, especially when they feel most vulnerable.
StepStone operates in nine states and is organizing blanket drives at all of its locations this winter.
