It started in a basement. Now it’s headed to the big leagues.
A simple idea from one Georgia family is about to take center stage at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
Jordyn Moore’s “Be Kind to Everyone” movement is partnering with the Atlanta Braves Foundation for the team’s first-ever Autism Acceptance Day at Truist Park on April 12.
For Jordyn and her family, it’s a full-circle moment years in the making.
Today, Jordyn — who has autism — can be found singing, dancing, and working with pride inside the Be Kind headquarters.
But getting here wasn’t easy.
As Jordyn approached adulthood, her parents faced a reality many families know too well: opportunity dries up fast for people with disabilities.
“There are very few opportunities… once they become adults,” her mother said. “We knew that, and it was keeping us up at night.”
So they built one.
What started in 2019 as a small T-shirt idea — just 40 shirts, sold from a basement — has exploded into a full-scale operation.
Now based in a warehouse, the company ships thousands of shirts each week and employs individuals with disabilities, creating not just jobs — but community.
“It has changed every aspect of her life,” her mother said. “Her confidence went up… her language exploded… and she is just happy.”
What began as a solution for one family is now helping many.
The Moores are sharing their model with others, showing what’s possible when inclusion is built — not just talked about.
Now, that message is stepping onto one of Georgia’s biggest stages.
The Braves partnership will highlight autism acceptance in front of thousands of fans, bringing visibility, awareness, and opportunity to a cause that is often overlooked.
For Jordyn, it’s proof of something bigger.
That sometimes the smallest beginnings — one idea, one shirt, one family — can grow into something that changes lives.
