On Tuesday, rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels teamed up with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic for World Wish Day, making dreams come true for one young fan from Charles County.
Meet 6-year-old Markel from Indian Head, Maryland. Despite living with congenital heart disease, he loves football and plays whenever he can.
Markel spent the day with players from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, but the real magic happened on the way there.
He got a surprise FaceTime call from his favorite Washington Commander: No. 5, Jayden Daniels.
The smile said it all.
Markel wrapped up his special day by playing and posing with the Georgetown Prep team — and even walked away with a signed football.
